Christie Constructors, Inc., a leader
in structural steelwork since 1965, operates a
steel fabrication shop with advanced robotic welding and precision-plasma
cutting capabilities at its San Francisco Bay Area headquarters.
Specializing in projects that require a high-quality end product,
Christie Constructors selects projects for fabrication in
its shop as well as subcontracts fabrication through other
fabricators depending on the scope and the nature of the work.
The award-winning company's steel fabrication shop is equipped
with a Motoman robot that works on a 40-foot-long bed. CNC
drilling equipment is used for drilling where appropriate.
The fabrication shop can handle any of your weldment requirements
using the Arc, Mig or Tig welding
procedures.
At Christie, we pride ourselves on the "as welded"
appearance of all our completed weldments. There is nothing
more pleasing to the eye of a fabricator than a properly applied
weld. We carry the latest equipment and have a highly trained
welding staff with decades of industrial welding experience.
Christie Constructors fabricates items, such as machinery
bases, handrail posts, structural steel beams for industrial
and residential projects, as well as many other custom steel
elements. Recent projects include the following:
- Fabrication of approximately 1,300 specially fabricated
posts for an Oregon bridge
project
- Fabrication of approximately 1,400 architecturally designed
posts for the Golden
Gate Bridge
- Fabrication, using plasma-cutting technology, of hundreds
of steel tubes for a retrofitting project at Stanford University.
- Fabrication of numerous custom structural steel beams
for multi-million-dollar private homes.
- Additionally, Christie fabricators have produced numerous
welded brackets for Caltrans
bridge projects.
